In the beginning of 2007 the present owner C.Romas established a non profitable company under the name  ‘Simera & Hthes’ ( today&yesterday).The aim of the company, which has taken its name from the title of daily articles written by Dionisio Roma for the newspaper ‘Eleftheria’, is recording and studying the rich archives of the family, as well as, the Library which entails old and rare editions reaching back to the 16th century, exceeding 10.000 titles. All this material shall be at the disposal of scholars and historians.  Another major aim of the society is also to publish works related to Zakynthos and the Ionian Islands.

The purpose and aim of the society is:

Maintenance of the interior and exterior of the Mansion which suffers damages due to the age of the building and the humidity.
Creation of a complete catalog of books, paintings and other objects of historical value.
Creation and distribution of copies of paintings or other objects,
Publication of   translations of rare manuscripts or books.
Providing access to the Library and the archives of the Roma Family to academic establishments, libraries or individual researchers.
Production of new editions related to the history of Zakynthos, the Ionian Islands and the Roma family.
Configuration of the interior of the Mansion and the garden, in order to become suitable to accommodate Conferences, Symposiums, lectures and any other cultural activity.
Buying of books or manuscripts related to the family and the local history in order to enrich the existing collections.

The financing of this effort has been totally undertaken by the family. It is strictly private initiative without the slightest contribution from any governmental agency or other private body so far. Due to the severe financial burden related to this effort and in order to continue and complete the tasks undertaken, any sponsoring from anyone is very welcome.
